Frequently Asked Questions

Is therapy right for me?

Whatever is happening in your life, everyone can benefit from understanding themselves better; there is no hierarchy in suffering. Having curiosity about your patterns and behaviours, and being willing to explore, is a great starting point for your therapeutic journey.

What’s the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?

Counselling and psychotherapy are two practices that are closely related and both fall under the category of ‘Talk Therapy’. While the terms ‘counselling’ and ‘therapy’ are often used interchangeably, counselling generally focuses on shorter-term, specific issues, while therapy delves deeper into underlying issues and patterns, often over a longer period. I am trained in both.

How does it work?

I offer a free initial phone call of about 15 minutes and from there we can set up our first session, if we feel the fit is right. Our first session will allow us to discuss presenting issues, medical and family history. Sessions are weekly, usually at the same time and on the same day. Sessions last for 50 minutes, although the first meeting may last a little longer. Sessions are in person and I can also offer sessions online over Zoom.

Where are you based?

My private practice is in London W10 close to Ladbroke Grove and Notting Hill. I can also offer sessions in Wimpole Street W1, on request.
